The Black Death was a horrible disease that spread through Europe and killed millions. Yes, millions. It wiped out nearly the whole continent. 2/3 of the people in Europe were gone because of this horrible disease. Actually, it was multiple diseases. each one so bad, it could kill someone in matter of days. So, where did a horribl disease come from? It actually came from China. Italian traders traded with China at the tim the disease hit it, and infected rats aboarded the Italian trader's ships. So then the rats got off in Italy, and they had fleas, who were also infected, and the fleas started biting the Italians. When Europe and France started trading with the Italians, the disease spread further.

Frane and Europe where infected. Soon, the whole continent was. The only places that where free of this disease, were isolate places like monasteries. They, of course, where isolated from the rest of the world. So they were free of disease.

So I'm walking around the courtyard, like always, when a knight comes and tells me that my unle wants to see me. I must, for  he is the king of the land. So I go to his quarters, the grandest room in all of the kingdom. For a normal peasant, this room would be like heavan. For me, I'm used to it. "What is it uncle?" I ask. I grow old from age, and the Crusades need a eader, I need you to go ut and help the rusaders figt", he says. "Yes unce', I say without thinking. It had been my dream to go and fight in the Crusades. Though Im a young age, I'm sure it wont matter. So I agreed to go. Then I thought, what if I die? I already sealed a deal with the king, and if I back out, my soul would surely b sent to Hell. If i die though, how would the rest of thre family do? Im the next heir to the throne, If I die, who would be the next? And if the king dies, who would take control. I worry.

It takes time for my leave. My family embraces me, and I get the finest armor any Artisan has made. My uncle wishes me good luck, and i take off. When riding on my war horse, i see the lush green fields and snowy mountains. I never have been outside the castle.

This day is bad. I was just out in the court-yard hanging out with my friend. He's a palace servant, but he's still my friend. Usually people ask me why I'm with that "filth" and not with another person like a noble's son. Well, he just has a good personality. So, my father, William IV,(he's the king of France), comes to the court-yard. Of course, my friend bows, k=like all servants do wen royalty comes in the same room. "I need to speak to you at once, my son" he says in that booming voice he always uses in public. "Can it wait?" I ask. "It can not" replies my father. "Fine", I reply. He takes me ton his quarters, a magnificent room that would make any normal person go in awe. "So what do you need father?" I ask. "A kingdom in northern France has decided to make peace, but I require you to marry their daughter in return for peace, but I give you a choice. Do you truly want to marry, or not?" says the king. I am speechless.

"Marry!?" I ask bewildered. "I'm only twelve!" I shout in bewilderment

All I do is go into a church, and see who was singing. That's all I do. When I see the fat man, I thought he would be nice. What an idiot I am. He now makes me his servant, and makes me swear to God! Why? Is he so lazy he needs a servant? Why would he choose me? I need answers, but I am to afraid to ask. The only good thing this man has done for me is given me bread. That's all he's done. Oh, and he's basically imprisoned me so that if I leave I will be killed by God and be sent to Hell. Can this day go any worse? Or will it get worse? It all started when I was leaving my village, Stromforth, too go and find a city. Why would I leave my village? I will tell you.

My mother, Asta, died. The steward, who is in charge at the moment because the lord is gone, asked me for a death fee. That's the way he is. Ever since the lord left for battle, he's been raising the taxes, taking more of our crops, executing  more and more people for no reason, and has been unfair to us all. So I said no. That was our Ox, and he couldn't take him.
