So I have been working forever in the fields. It is already dusk, and I am eager to get back to my home. The fields are quite some ways from the village. I think that i see smoke. Proably just the village meat smoker. He smokes the meat to make it last longer. So I continue my way up the winding path up the mountain that led to my village. I always thought my village was in a good place. It had fertile soil for farming. The grass always was green so animals loved to graze there. And there was even a river so we could get fish and other types of food. Then, my heart skipped a beat. My village was on fire. The houses were ablaze, the animals were killed, and I thought I saw multiple bodies on the ground. I ran to the village. I started grabbing buckets and filled them with water. 

     Charlmange. He was a great ruler in the middle ages. But why was he so great? Well, Charlmange was one of the first rulers of the middle ages. He was a great leader. The reason why, is that he took everything nicely. He did not always be a impolite ruler to his subjects. He handled the country well, and he did not die from assassination.  Charlmange was the one who unified the middle ages empire and kept it alive. He was very upset when barbarians and vikings attacked his kingdom. At this point, Charlmange did not know what to do or how to handle the situation. He eventually kept the kingdom safe from attacks, but he died shortly after that.      I have a resolution. I made one which is helping me eat better. I'm not saying that I'm going on a diet, I'm just going to eat better. What I mean by that, is that I'm going to eat more fruits and vegtebles. Lately, I have been asking my mom to get more fruity and veggies for me. Also, she has been cooking some sort of fruit or vegtable with my families dinners. I have also made sure to avoid eating out at places like McDonalds and Applebees. Instead, I have been eating dinner that we make at home. Also, I make sure to not eat unhealthy snacks. What i mean by that, is that I try not to eat things like Goldfish or Barbeque chips for snacks. I have been trying to stick to fruit or other stuff. Also, I have been not eating things like white bread. Eventually, all of the starch just turns into sugar, and that means unhealthy amounts of sugar.

     Of course, it's not like I'm never going to eat out again. Of course there is going to be times where I have to eat something like McDonalds or Applebees, I'm just going to make sure not to over do it. What I mean is, instead of getting something like a large sized Angus Burger with bacon and three patties (I'v never gotten that by the way), I will choose something like a small singular patty burger with cheese and lettuce and water for a drink. I made a system, where once a week, I can eat something unhealthy. Even though I will allow myself to eat something like that, I will not go overboard. I feel that if I can keep a system like this, I can eventually become hooked to eating healthy.

     What am I looking foward to this winter break? I will tell you in a list. No school, no school, relax, no school, no school, Christmas, no school, and finnaly, no school. I get to stay home and do nothing. The only thing, is that my mom is making me read everyday. I don't mind. I love books. The kind I like best are fiction. To be more specific, fantasy, and to even be more specific, about anything. A good fanatsy book seems to be the best kind of book. I don't know which one though. I have already read so many fantasies, I don't know where to go. I have read every book in the Harry Potter series, every Percy Jackson book, I have just finished the latest book of the Heroes of Olympus book. Hmmm... I think I will find a new series to get hooked on for break. A series of a fiction. Something good that has long books. I think I will get a series.

     I also get to play video games! I got my present from my dad already, mainly because I'm not going to see him on Christmas. My present was a Turtle Beach headset, called the X12. They are the best. The let me hear the game and my friends talkin and I can hear myself talking. It's so amazing. I honastly love it. Also, they don't require the volume of the game on the televison

     It is a peaceful day. I decide to go into my farm to do some farmwork. I tend to my crops and then I notice all of the weeds in my rice fields. I might as well pukll them out, it will go a long way to save my harvest. I am pulling out the weeds, and then I notice that I hear a loud noise. It sounds like thunder. There is not a cloud in the sky, why would there be thunder? Then, I see it. A huge Mongol army. There were thousands, maybe even hundred-thousands! What can I do? The Mongol leader does not take prisoners. He will kill me or torture then kill me for sure. Oh, what to do? Thats it, the secret cellar! I remember that this cottage came with a secret cellar!

     I go to my secret cellar, where I stored tons of dried food and barrels of extra water. I eventually knew the Mongols would come to invade this land. My cellar is well built, with support beams, no extra holes, and candles waiting to be lit. The cover is acually grass, so it looks like an ordinary lump of green. I decided to put several candles with extras in there so I can see at night. Even though well hidden, I do not want to light all of the caandles until I know there is no more Mongols in my area. I also have a small table, with a smooth stone that was next to the table from the preivious owner. There was also an extra cot in thre, as if the previous owner had Mongols attack his house too. The Mongols have been attacking for a while now. The preivous owner must've had the same problems. The

     What were some of the great Chinese Achievments? Well, in my eyes, I would go with paper moneyand gunpowder. The reason why I chose money, is because, it's so light. If I had to carry around a huge money bag full of heavy bronze, silver, or gold coins, I would not feel good about money. Since we have paper money, we do not have to have so much weight with us. All we need is a wallet, which is pretty light. Also, it's easier to remember hove much a dollar is worth. It says on the bill itself. If we had to use coins, we may not remember how much each coin is worth.

     Gunpowder is also a really good achievment. The reason why, is that it can be used to power weapons. Without gunpowder, we wouldn't have guns. Without guns, the army wouldn't be able to defend our country as well. Gunpower also has other uses. One of the other uses, is that it can be used for

     What are Griots? Well, they were historians in ancient Africa. Back in those days, paper was hard to make. In that case, the Wet Africans could'nt make books about their history. So, they had Griots. Griots kept all of the history in their head. They would keep close attention to what was happening to the empire, and they would add it to their brain. You would need a strong mind to be a Griot.  They needed to remember everything about their culture. They had the knowledge, but how did they pass it on? Back then, they used oral history.

     Oral history is the way people kept track of history in West Africa. Oral history is exatly what it sounds like. The Griots would tell history through stories. In these stories, there would be what the section of history was about.

     What are my favorite perks to fall? well, I do like the fact that it's cooler. I have always been a cold person. I hate the heat, so that's pretty much one of the only reasons why I hate summer. But in fall, it's freezing! That just makes me feel so good. I still can't escape the heat though. The only reason is that my mom keeps it like a hundred degrees in my house. I can't believe she likes it so hot! Also, my brothers like the heat too. So basicly, I'm locked up in my room with the vent closed and three fans in my face. I also like Halloween.

     Halloween is great! You can dress up, you can scare people, and you get free candy!

     Iron was an important reasource in West Africa. Not only did it help with farming tools, it also made better weapons than stone or wood. Iron made the biggest difference in West Africa than most other things. Africans also used it for trade. Thaey could've traded iron for better materials to make different thiings, or goods that they didn't have in their country. Many people used iron in their everyday lives. Mostly, it was used for farming tools. But, when the time called, iron was uded for weopons to defend from attackers.

     Which of the four regions of Arabia is  the hardest? Well, of course it would be the desert! The desert is a dry, and cruel place. The land is covered with sand, so it would be hard to grow any crops. Without crops, there would be little food. Not many plants grow in the desert. It's not like any plants can grow,  just  few. The  cactus is one of the plants that can grow. Its roots grow deep down for water. Except, there is one way to get los of water. There ar places of water in the desert called an oasis.
