What is Mitosis? Mitosis is the cycles of which a cell goes through before it duplicates itself. There are two types of cells. Prokyreotic and Eycariotic. The Prokyriotic cells have no membrame bound organalles or a nucleus. They contain mostly bacteria and algae. Eycariotic cells do have membrame bound organalles and a nucleus. They are mostly plant or animal cells. The cell I am going to be talking about is the Eycariotic cell. The cell is always most of the time in Porphase. Prophase is the phase which the cell is getting ready for the duplication of the cell. The cell begins to go to metaphase, the phase which the DNA is lining up like an equater in the cell. The cell is always copying its DNA so it can give some to the new cell to which is about to be made.

The cell later goes into anaphase. In anaphase, the cell begins to duplicate and the nucleus begins to form in the different cell.

Bacteria? Animal cells? Plant cells?! What do they have in common? Well, they do have lots of things in common, but most of it is diferences between the cells. They are very different in fact. It all has to do with the inside of the cell. bacteria cells are the most different out of all of the cells. The have cell walls and a membrame, like plant and animal cells, though animal cells don't have cell walls. The big difference about the bacteria cell, is that it has no nucleoulus, no nucleus, and no membrame bound organelles. They do have vacuoles, but they jut flout around the cytoplasm. They also have DNA, but that also just foats around the cytoplasm.

Next, we have an animal cell. These are very same to a plant cell in many ways, but also different in many ways. They have no cell wall. They do have a cell membrame, and membrame bound organelles. They also have many same organelles as a plant cell. Unlike the bacteria cell, they do have a nucleoulus.

Not to long ago, we did a project with cells. It was the ediable cell project. The ediable cell was used to help us understand the parts of a cell and what they do. So was this a good project to do? I, personaly, think it was. It really helped me get the idea of wht cell parts looked like. We had to use non perishable food items. When we made this, the food items really helped me visualize what the food items do and what they might look like. We did an animal cell. This really helped me get a better understanding of what the cell parts are called and what they do in the cell.

We had to know what each part of a celll was called, and what itt
